Infant and Toddler Specialist Technical Assistant –Programs can request the services of the Infant and Toddler (I&T) Specialty TA’s through their assigned TA. The I&T TA’s can provide on-site support with caring for infants and toddlers in areas such as language and interactions, routines and transitions, developmentally appropriate play, outdoor play ideas, social emotional supports, etc. Click here for a menu of free services!
Environment Rating Scales (ERS) Technical Assistant – Programs can request the services of the ERS TA’s through their assigned TA. The ERS TAs are technical assistants that are trained like assessors but function as TAs to provide on-site support in preparation for an Environment Rating Scale assessment. They will see your program through the lens of an assessor and provide suggestions on items like materials (children’s access to, organization of and type), scheduling, teacher child interactions, etc. They can also answer questions about the ERS and process of assessment.

Health & Nutrition Technical Assistant -Programs can request the services of the Health and Nutrition TA through their assigned TA. The Health and Nutrition TA can provide on-site support in the area of nutrition such as how to introduce healthy foods like fruits and vegetables to young children, how to engage children to try new and different foods, how visiting or growing a garden can instill excitement in children, etc. The Health and Nutrition TA can also provide on-site support with including movement and physical activity in indoor and outdoor play.
